Screenshot Beautifier

Drop in a screenshot, pick a background, tweak the padding, and you've got something that actually looks good on social media.

Why Bother Making Screenshots Pretty?

Let's be honest — a raw screenshot dumped into a tweet doesn't look great. A nice background and some breathing room go a long way toward making people actually stop and look.

People use this for all sorts of things:

  • Showing off code snippets on Twitter/X
  • Product updates and announcements on LinkedIn
  • App Store preview images
  • Eye-catching Instagram posts

What You Can Tweak

Background Styles

There's a bunch of gradients, solid colors, and image backgrounds to pick from — including some nice retro, vintage, and paper textures.

Aspect Ratios

Pick the right shape for where you're posting. 1:1 for Instagram, 16:9 for Twitter, 9:16 for Stories — it's all there.

Effects

Throw on a border, a drop shadow, or some film grain to give your screenshot that extra bit of personality.

A Few Things That Help

Pick a Background That Fits

Think about what you're showing. Dark backgrounds look great behind code, and lighter gradients work better for product shots.

Give It Some Space

Don't cram your screenshot edge-to-edge. A bit of extra padding makes everything feel cleaner and easier on the eyes.

Know Where It's Going

Every platform has its sweet spot. Square is the way to go for Instagram, and 16:9 fits Twitter like a glove.

Getting Started

Just drag your screenshot onto the upload area, or click to pick a file. PNG, JPEG, and WebP all work. Once it's uploaded, you'll see controls on the right where you can play with the background, padding, aspect ratio, and effects.

When it looks the way you want, hit "Copy to Clipboard" and paste it straight into your post, or grab it as a PNG with "Download PNG". Everything exports at 2x resolution, so it'll look sharp on retina screens too.
